$50 SoCO Membership Discount
SECO International offers a discount to members of the state optometric associations that comprise the Southern Council of Optometrists, Inc. These state association members include: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. SECO International also extends this discount to members of the Armed Forces Optometric Society. If you are a member of one of these optometric associations (or AFOS), you are entitled to receive a unique code valid for a $50 discount off your SECO 2010 continuing education registration fee.
SECO International distributes these coupons in late October to SoCO members. Please read the instructions below to obtain your unique discount code.
How to apply the code
You may apply the discount code in the "Discount Code" field during step one of your SECO 2010 online registration process, or or write the code in the Section 6 of your SECO 2010 registration form. This code is unique to your registration and may not be applied to another registration. Please carefully read the terms and conditions of this program to receive the discount.
Visit Optometry's Marketplace™ for FREE!
Name a company you intend to visit in Optometry's Marketplace™, or a company that invited you to attend SECO 2010 and SECO will discount your registration to Optometry's Marketplace™ by $25, the cost of admission!
This discount is not valid for registration to attend the SECO 2010 continuing education program. Registrants must provide a company name to receive $25 off registration for Optometry's Marketplace™ 3-day admission.
Registration Period Discounts
SECO incentivizes attendees to pre-register to attend SECO 2010. Register early to take advantage of cheaper registration fees and better access to continuing education.
Invite-A-Friend Program
Invite a fellow optometrist to SECO 2010 and receive a $50 gift card. Simply use the Invite-A-Friend feature at the conclusion of the online registration process to identify up to three fellow optometrists that have not attended a SECO in four years. Each successful referral will earn a $50 gift card for the referrer. This program is available only to online registrants.
Who can refer?
Licensed optometrists who register for the SECO 2010 continuing education program may refer licensed optometrist colleagues to register to attend the SECO 2010 education program.
Who can be referred?
Qualified referral candidates must be optometrists licensed in the United States that have not attended the SECO education program for a period of four years (since SECO International 2006).
What's the incentive?
Referring optometrists will receive a $50 American Express gift card for each qualified optometrist referral that registers for SECO 2010 and does not cancel their registration. Referrers will be notified of their claim by e-mail prior to the congress. Referrers may pick up their gift cards at the Registration Hall during SECO 2010.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The Invite-a-Friend program is valid only for SECO 2010. Eligibility to participate in the Invite-a-Friend program is contingent upon participation of a referrer and at least one referral. Both referrer and referral must be US licensed optometrists residing in the United States. The referrer must: a) register to attend the SECO 2010 optometrist education program; b) identify each referral separately using the automated online process, referrer may identify up to three (3) referrals; c) attend SECO 2010 (i.e. referrer must be present to claim gift card). The referral must: a) register to attend the SECO 2010 optometrist education program; b) not have attended the SECO education program within the previous four-year period (SECO International 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009); c) attend SECO 2010 (i.e. referral may not cancel registration). This program is non-transferable. In the event of multiple nominations of a referral, the referrer that nominated the referral first will be awarded the gift card; referrals incentives will not be shared by multiple referrers.
Multiple Registration Discounts
Multiple registration discounts are available exclusively to registrants attending the Allied Ophthalmic Professionals (AOP) education program. Enter the discount code MULT in the discount code field on the AOP registration form or online.
